  2. Plinko Casino Game

The executive producer of the show Frank Wayne developed the game Plinko and premiered it in 1983. But what does the word “plinko” means, you might ask. The answer is as simple as the game itself: because of the sound “plink, plink, plink” the ball makes while slipping down the board towards slots with rates.

  • Plinko is the general term for a game involving a ball or disk that falls randomly down a grid of pegs, to land in a random spot at the bottom. Such boards are also a good way to illustrate a Gaussian curve at science museums.
  • Plinko is a game that’s been around for many generations in one form or another. This came mainly as a novel carnival game and made popular by TV game shows. None could have predicted how much popularity this game would have received within the online gambling community. Especially once Stake got their hands on it.

Plinko is a casino game based on a Plinko board with 16 rows of pegs. I've seen it at a few Cryptocurrency casinos. Please click the link for all the rules and analysis. As always, I welcome all questions, comments, and corrections.
The question for the poll is would you play Plinko?
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.

Plinko is awesome!!
A couple suggested edits:
Rule 1— reorder colors to match graphic: green, red, blue, or yellow
Rule 3 — fix typo: At each row, the ball will hit…
I was confused by the graphic because it looks as if the bet made was 10, but the pay table in the chart has the same pays, so in the graphic, was the bet 1 unit? (i.e. the most that can be won is 650 units for 1?)
Does the pay table in the actual game change based on the units wagered, or does it remain static to show the payout ratio?

It took a google search for me to figure out who Diane, Holly, and Janice are, as mentioned in the poll. I never enjoyed The Price Is Right.

So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

The way it works is a 'credit' costs 0.000001 BTC (about $0.01) and the minimum bet is 10 credits. Why they require this step of buying credits, I have no idea. They don't do it in other games at this casino.

OnlineIt's static.

Where were you in the late 70's? Debates among adolescent males about who was the most attractive Beauty were almost as common as those about Charlie's Angels.

No love for Anitra? She was even in The Longest Yard. Okay, to be fair, she had left the show before Plinko debuted.
Also, pardon me for being in pedantic mode today, but it's Dian, not Diane.

Wiz,
I saw a couple of typos:
'Such boards are also a good way to illustration to Gaussian curve at science museums.' Change 'illustration to' to 'illustrate a'.
'the casino will provide the hash of it's own seed': should be 'its'.

I recall a 4th one who looked even better. Maybe she was in the show later years

I'm sure many of you remember who Bob Barker's favorite beauty was...

Never heard the game name Plinko? That’s fine, we’ll enlighten you with great pleasure. Let’s go back in the time of far far eightieth when the generation of young and old viewers screamed at their television at the TV-show contestants for their behavior. It was “The Price is Right” show and everyone loved it. The executive producer of the show Frank Wayne developed the game Plinko and premiered it in 1983. But what does the word “plinko” means, you might ask. The answer is as simple as the game itself: because of the sound “plink, plink, plink” the ball makes while slipping down the board towards slots with rates.

The gameplay is also extremely easy. In a nutshell, before dropping the bubbling fuchsia ball from the top of the pyramid, you choose the desired betting amount and the risk level. Once you have chosen these ones, press “play” button and watch how different payouts wait for the ball to bounce inside one of them. Eventually, the corresponding amount from the prize pegs will be yours!

In spite of the fact that the game is easy as pie, people truly love Plinko, and even here we can find some kind of a psychological side. Philosophically speaking, Plinko is a metaphor for life. Why? Because it’s a mix of luck and misfortune, joy and disappointment, and all in all a full gamut of emotions in the form of a board. You walk up to the top of it push the ball and step by step, pray it will give the rewards you seek. It is like a Pandora’s Box, right? We hope, we desire and it gives and takes away at the same time. Maybe, that’s the reason why people are drawn to Plinko? Who knows…Anyway, it’s up to you to decide!
